Condition, testing and warranty

Stock is listed as new, new original surplus, refurbished or used, with the condition on the item page beside the part number. Surplus is unused inventory no longer produced, refurbished was opened, cleaned and tested, used is a working pull with wear described as found.

Units are powered up before shipping: drives run where the frame allows, S800 I/O and S200 modules checked for bus communication, AC500 CPUs for boot and firmware, contactors and overloads for pull-in and trip.

Obsolescence is why most of these requests arrive. ACS400, ACS550, ACS800 and ACH550 are out of production: the only new-build answer is a current drive plus rewiring and re-commissioning, while a surplus, refurbished or used unit of the original type keeps cabinet, cabling and parameters as they are. Every item carries a 12 month MT Parts warranty against functional failure, issued by MT Parts as an independent supplier. No ABB factory warranty applies to surplus, refurbished or used stock.

How to identify the right replacement

• Full type code, not the family: two ACS580-01 drives that differ only in the last digit are different voltage classes. Send the whole nameplate string with any 3BSE, 3HAC, 1SFA or 3ABD number, and match voltage class, current, frame, EMC filter and brake chopper.
• Panel and option slots: on most ACS drives the control panel and the fieldbus adapter are separate items. Without them the drive runs but will not talk to your PLC.
• AC500 CPU plus base: the CPU sits on its own terminal base and has to match the firmware revision your Automation Builder project expects. Record both numbers.
• S800 I/O termination unit: the module alone will not run. Note module type, the termination unit under it and the redundancy variant, which set the field wiring.
• Coil and trip rating: coil code and voltage band on AF, exact voltage and AC or DC on A line, auxiliary blocks separate. Check the MS and TA75DU setting band against the motor nameplate, and the trip unit and poles on Tmax and Emax.

How do I check if you have an ABB part number?

Search the full string as it reads on the nameplate, a type code that begins ACS550-01 or an ordering number starting 3BSE, 3HAC, 1SFA or 3ABD. If it is not among the 278 items listed, send it through Request a quote and we answer in 24 hours.

Do you supply discontinued ABB drives?

Yes, and that is most of the drive traffic here. ACS400, ACS550, ACS800 and ACH550 are out of production, so surplus, refurbished and used units are the only like for like route, subject to availability.

Can you cross an ACS550 to a current ACS580?

We quote both paths: the original ACS550 type code first, so cabinet, cabling and parameters stay untouched, then the ACS580 at the same voltage class and current, with what the swap changes in footprint, control terminals, fieldbus adapter and parameters.

Are these ABB parts new or refurbished?

Declared per unit on the item page: new, new original surplus, refurbished or used. ACS380, ACS580 and AF contactors are more often new or surplus, discontinued hardware such as ACS800 and DS200 surplus, refurbished or used.

Do you ship ABB parts outside the United States?

Yes, worldwide. The quote includes freight and the commercial documents customs asks for, with HS classification and origin. Items under US export control are screened before shipment.
