Condition, testing and warranty
Stock is listed as new, new original surplus, refurbished or used, with the condition on the item page beside the model code. Surplus is unused inventory no longer produced, refurbished was opened, cleaned and tested, used is a working pull with wear described as found.
Units are powered up before shipping: amplifiers checked for display, bus and alarm history, inverters run where the frame allows, FX main units for boot and run mode, extension blocks for channel status.
Obsolescence is why most of these requests arrive. FX2N, MR-J2 and MR-J2S, FR-A500, FR-E500 and FR-S500 are out of production, so the only new-build answer is a current platform plus new motors, cabling and program conversion, while a surplus, refurbished or used unit of the original model keeps the machine and the program as they are. Every item carries a 12 month MT Parts warranty against functional failure, issued by MT Parts as an independent supplier. No Mitsubishi Electric factory warranty applies to surplus, refurbished or used stock.
How to identify the right replacement
- Full model code, not the family: MR-J2S-100A and MR-J2S-100B are not interchangeable, the suffix is the command interface. Send the whole label string for the amplifier, inverter or main unit.
- Command interface: A for pulse train and analog, B for SSCNET and SSCNET III/H. The amplifier has to match what your motion controller sends, and the axis address switches with it.
- Motor and encoder pairing: the amplifier has to suit the motor already on the machine. Capacity, encoder generation and connectors differ between J2, J3 and J4, so a generation jump usually pulls the motor with it.
- Inverter rating: FR-A820 is 200 V class and FR-A840 is 400 V, then the capacity code, built in EMC filter, DC reactor and any plug-in option board.
- FX main unit and output type: FX3U with MR relay or MT transistor output, sink or source wiring, and supply voltage. Extension blocks are separate part numbers from the main unit.
- Program and firmware: GX Developer projects against GX Works2 and GX Works3, FX2N programs need conversion for FX3U, and a J2-Super parameter set does not transfer to J4.
