MT.parts is an independent supplier of Yaskawa parts, and the catalog is deliberately concentrated: 35 items in two categories, all of it drives. 19 CIMR inverters from the V1000, J1000, A1000, U1000 and Varispeed G5 lines, and 16 Sigma-5 (SGDV) servo amplifiers. No invented breadth, real depth in the two things a Yaskawa panel needs.
Yaskawa parts we stock
Two categories, count in brackets. Availability is confirmed on quote, which matters here: a good share of this stock is from lines no longer in production.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD): CIMR coded inverters, V1000, J1000, A1000 and U1000, plus the legacy Varispeed G5 (19)
- Servo Drives & Amplifiers: Sigma-5 single axis servo amplifiers, SGDV part numbers, analog and pulse or network command (16)
Series and families
Six lines, two of them legacy. The line decides the control method, the frame and the parameter set you will be loading.
- A1000: high performance general purpose inverter, V/f, open loop vector and closed loop vector with an encoder card
- V1000: compact current vector drive with built in logic, the standard choice for general machine duty
- J1000: compact V/f drive for fans, pumps and conveyors, an older line still filling small panels
- U1000: matrix converter, low harmonic input and regeneration back to the line without a separate braking unit
- Varispeed G5: the legacy flux vector line, long out of production, usually the only like for like answer for a panel built around it
- Sigma-5 (SGDV): single axis servo amplifier, analog and pulse or network command by suffix, serial absolute encoder, paired with SGM series motors such as SGMGV
Condition, testing and warranty
Each unit is listed as new, new original surplus, refurbished or used, with the condition on the item page beside the CIMR or SGDV code. Inverters are run on the bench where the frame allows: power up, keypad fault history read and cleared, output checked, DC bus capacitors inspected and long stored stock reformed first. Servo amplifiers are powered, alarm trace read, main and control circuits checked.
Obsolescence drives most of these requests. Varispeed G5 and J1000 are older lines, and a G5 panel carries its own wiring, braking unit and parameter set: a surplus, refurbished or used G5 keeps the cabinet as built, while a current line means new terminal layout, new parameters and a fresh commissioning. Every item carries a 12 month MT Parts warranty against functional failure, issued by MT Parts. No Yaskawa factory warranty applies.
How to identify the right replacement
- Full CIMR or SGDV code: send the whole nameplate string, since family, voltage class, current rating and revision are all in it. Motor kW alone is not enough.
- Voltage class and rated current: 200 V or 400 V class, then output current at your duty, because normal and heavy duty ratings differ inside one model.
- Enclosure and options: open chassis or enclosed, EMC filter, DC reactor, braking transistor, and any option slot in use for fieldbus or encoder feedback.
- Parameter set: a replacement arrives at factory defaults, so pull the parameter list or copy it with the keypad first. Control method, motor data and terminal functions all reload.
- Autotuning: run the tune that fits, rotational with the load uncoupled, stationary when it cannot be. Closed loop vector also needs the encoder card.
- Motor and encoder pairing: SGDV rating to the SGM series motor, command interface to the controller, and the Sigma absolute encoder needs its battery or absolute position is lost.
FAQ
How do I check whether you have a CIMR or SGDV part number?
Search the full code from the nameplate. If it is not among the 35 items listed, send it through Request a quote and we answer in 24 hours, subject to availability.
Do you supply obsolete Varispeed G5 and J1000 drives?
Yes, those lines are a real part of this catalog. They are out of production, so surplus, refurbished and used units are the only like for like route left.
Can I replace a Varispeed G5 with an A1000?
Usually yes, but it is not a drop in: frame size, terminal layout, braking and the whole parameter set change, and the drive has to be tuned to the motor again. We quote the G5 code first, then the A1000 equivalent.
Are these Yaskawa drives new or refurbished?
Declared per unit on the item page: new, new original surplus, refurbished or used. A1000, V1000 and SGDV numbers are more often new or surplus, Varispeed G5 and J1000 usually refurbished or used.
Do you ship Yaskawa drives outside the United States?
Yes, worldwide. The quote includes freight and the commercial documents customs asks for, with HS classification and origin. Items under US export control are screened before shipment.
